The MWFA is proud to support and participate in the Shoosh for Kids campaign once again this year, which will be running over the month of May.
Shoosh for Kids is an annual campaign run by the NSW Government, which aims to encourage positive spectator behaviour at junior sport whilst creating a fun and positive environment that keeps kids coming back to sport.
The campaign is not about staying completely silent but rather making sure everyone stays positive.
The six key messages of Shoosh for Kids are:
- Think before you speak
- Encouraging positive spectator behaviour
- Keep it positive. Keep it fun.
- Let coaches do the coaching.
- Remember, volunteers run kids sport.
- Respect the referee
