SEAFORTH are blessed to have Catriona Ormond working behind the scenes.
That was the assessment of Jordan Lefebvre, the club’s Director of Coaching.
“What Catriona does it is just priceless,” he said.
“She is always one of the first to put her hand up when things need to be done, and introducing Friday night dinners at the club for parents and players in the juniors has been a huge success this year.
“Our committee work really hard to stay on the same page, and Catriona is a huge part of that.”
Like so many parents, Catriona originally decided to get involved with Seaforth as ‘it was the right thing to do.’
“I started out as a duties co-ordinator before I was asked to become the club committee manager,” she said.
“I was happy to give it a go and I really enjoyed it from day one, we have a terrific committee, and the community vibe is fantastic.”
Catriona also is involved at Manly United, helping out with the development squads from the under 6s through to 8s.
“My son (Ethan) plays in the under-9s at Manly, so I figured why not help down there as well,” she said.
“I have two other boys – Guy and Leo – so football is a big part of our lives.
“We live around the corner in North Balgowlah and really do live and breathe the sport.
“I’m just happy to help out when needed.”
