MWFA FA Cup final preview

St Augs 664

ST Augustine’s Premier League coach Nick Tomaino will encourage his players to savour the occasion when they take on Pittwater RSL FC in the MWFA FA Cup final next Wednesday night at Cromer Park.

Pitts deserve the favourites tag, but Saints are not short of confidence.

Their Cup run has been sensational – Narrabeen (4-0), Seaforth (7-0) and Manly Vale (5-0).

The impressive results will leave the greens feeling slightly nervous.

“We can definitely get a result, Pittwater beat us 3-2 in the league at their place and we didn’t play well,” Tomaino said.

“Cromer Park will also suit us, we can play our passing game on a decent pitch.

“I don’t think we will be rattled by the occasion either, we will happily be the underdogs.”

Kick-off is 7pm.
