MWFA Women's Premier League Review
20th May, 2013
CHAMPIONS Manly Vale A and Beacon Hill played out a pulsating 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon in the MWFA Women’s Premier League.
A healthy crowd turned up to watch the action at David Thomas Reserve, and they weren’t disappointed.
Beacon took the lead inside the first 15 minutes before Vale equalised via an own goal.
Anna Jamison then gave the home side the lead, only to see Kelly Sargeant convert a penalty on 75 minutes to ensure both sides shared the spoils.
Manly Vale A coach Tony Bruzzano was happy with a point.
“Beacon Hill and Brookvale have come a long way, this season will go down to the wire,’’ he said.
“We are not going away, we have a few new faces who are gaining valuable experience in big games.
“I am confident we will still give the league a good challenge.’’
No other MWFA Women’s Premier League games were played due to State Cup commitments.

AVALON SC midfielder Daniel Bateup insists panic is not the buzzword at Careel Bay despite the Reds poor start to the MWFA Premier League season.
Following their promotion to the top flight, life has been tough, picking up just one point from their first five fixtures.
This Saturday they travel to Cromer Park to take on the inconsistent CC Strikers.
