Throughout the course, coaches learn how to deliver engaging, player-centred training sessions while developing a deeper understanding of both the technical and tactical aspects of the game.
Topics covered include:
- Developing and coaching core football techniques, including passing, receiving, dribbling, striking the ball and defending.
- Understanding the key principles of attack and defence, and how they apply within a team environment.
- Planning, delivering and reviewing effective training sessions using Football Australia’s coaching methodology.
- Creating learning environments that encourage player development, decision-making and game understanding.
