IT may only be June, but Beacon Hill coach Vince Vescio has declared Sunday’s clash with Manly Vale as ‘title defining.’
Both teams are unbeaten locally after six rounds, with the Tony Bruzzano and Roland Winter co-coached ladies in maroon and white enjoying a two point lead at the top of the table.
Defeat at home on Sunday would see Beacon Hill fall five points behind.
“We slipped up in our last game against Mosman (1-1 draw), so we have some ground to make up,” Vescio said.
“The girls are pumped, they will be ready to go.”
Winter said anticipation is also high in the Manly Vale camp.
“It will be a big test for us, but we are trying to treat it like any other game,” he said.
“Beacon (Hill) are a strong side, it is always a challenge.”
