MWFA Premier League round two preview

DEE Why showed their ruthless nature in front of goal on Saturday, outclassing Manly Vale 5-1 at David Thomas Reserve.

Following a scoreless first half, the Swans lifted the intensity after the break, and the gallant hosts couldn’t stop the rot.

Tommy Marshall was a very happy man, finishing with a brace versus his old club, with Matt Cooper, Patrick Royal and Jake Harris also on the score sheet.

“The conditions were very tough, the wind was significant, it took us time to adjust,” Cooper said.

“Our energy was much better in the second half and we took our chances.

“I was a little concerned when they (Vale) scored to make it 1-1, but eventually we went on with it.”

Other games saw Pittwater RSL FC beat Narrabeen 3-2 in a thriller, Mosman shocked Wakehurst 1-0, Brookvale battled to a 2-1 triumph versus Seaforth and CC Strikers impressed on Friday night, getting the better of St Augustine’s 2-0 under lights at Cromer Park.
