THE Manly Warringah Football Association Over 45 Select Squad are buzzing ahead of their clash with a Brazilian touring team at Cromer Park this Friday night.
Manezinhos da ilha have played 20 plus fixtures around the world, with this their maiden visit to Australia.
The South American squad will no doubt attack at every opportunity, but the local old timers are confident they can produce a huge upset.
“We combined well as a unit pretty quickly, defender Rich Lacey said after Sundays friendly against Brookvale.
Obviously Friday will be a step up in class, but it will be a great occasion.”
The chief purpose of Fridays game is to support the MWFA Defibrillator Implementation Project.
The objective is to have defibrillators available and accessible at all senior MWFA grounds by April 2017.
Kick-off is at 7pm with a donation appreciated from all spectators on entering via the main gate.
