MANLY Vale and Forest Killarney are both on the road in Sunday’s latest round of the State Cup in the All Age Women’s division.
Tony Bruzzano and Roland Winter’s in-form Vale take on Narellan Rangers in Sydney’s south-west, while Hannah Bromley’s ladies in green play Epping FC at Putney.
Manly Vale striker turned defender Sammy Taylor said not knowing too much about their opponent adds to the occasion.
“We would prefer to be playing on the northern beaches, but a road trip is always fun,” she said.
“We are clicking well as a unit, the challenge is to keep up our high intensity.
“I’m sure they (Narellan) will be decent, it is another challenge for us.”
Fellow MWFA squads Beacon Hill, Brookvale (two teams), Wakehurst and Seaforth were all eliminated in the second round.
Mosman and Manly Allambie, who didn’t enter the State Cup, can also put their feet up this weekend.
