MWFA Premier League round six preview

wakehurst PL

RATHER than collectively fearing Brookvale, Wakehurst are relishing the prospect of stunning the ladder leaders ahead of Saturday’s round six tussle at Graham Reserve.

The Blues are in scintillating form, scoring 12 goals in their last two outings, but the Tigers playing group have also hit a purple patch, unbeaten in their last four games.

“We are all looking forward to it, you want to test yourself against the best, and Brookie sound like they are the real deal this season,” attacking utility Taylor Cahill said just days out from the top of the table encounter.

“They can be deadly, they have many attacking weapons, but we have hit our straps in recent weeks.

“Andrew Green has been terrific for us up front, we just can’t concede soft goals like last week versus Mosman.

“All the lads will be up for this one.”

Elsewhere from 3pm, Curl Curl host CC Strikers, Dee Why entertain Pittwater RSL FC, Mosman do battle with Narrabeen and Seaforth play St Augustine’s at Cromer Park from 6pm.
