MWFA women's Premier League preview – Sunday June 24

SEAFORTH coach Ash Mathieson has every reason to feel like Sunday’s home game versus Manly Vale has a sense of Groundhog Day about it.

Last weekend his team played you guessed it, Manly Vale.

It also happened to be at Seaforth Oval.

“That’s the nature of the draw, we just get on with it,” Mathieson said.

“We rode our luck last week (in the 0-0 draw), I thought Vale were the better side overall.

“They have experienced players all over the park – they defend well, keep the ball in midfield and can be clinical up top.

“I feel they are hitting their straps, we definitely need to go to another level, I’m confident we can.”

Elsewhere, league leaders Wakehurst host a freshened up Beacon Hill, who had the bye last weekend.

Forest Killarney take on Avalon and Brookvale entertain Manly Allambie.
