MWFA Premier League round 11 review

IT was arguably the most entertaining game of the season on Friday night at Cromer Park – but CC Strikers coach Ryan Butcher wasn’t a happy man at the final whistle.

His team beat St Augustine’s 6-4, and as the score suggests, defending wasn’t a priority.

“We showed really poor discipline and shape after the break and Saints started to get a roll on,”Butcher said.

“We always had a two goal buffer so we were never really threatened, but you never like conceding four goals.

“I was glad to see we had our attacking rhythm back and we did look great going forward.

“It was a great game for the crowd.”

Jamie Brading (3), Sam Webber (2) and Luke Curnow (1) scored the goals for CC Strikers.

Elsewhere, Dee Why outclassed Manly Vale 3-1, Brookvale thumped Seaforth by the same score, Pittwater RSL FC impressed in a 4-1 triumph against Narrabeen and Wakehurst beat Mosman 2-1.
