MWFA Premier League round seven review

2018 R1

MOSMAN have proved they are the real deal this season after a gutsy 3-3 draw versus Brookvale on Saturday.

The Blues were 2-0 up, only to see Mark Parkins and Finn McDonald square proceedings leading into halftime.

When Lucas Cura slotted a penalty to make it 3-2 in favour of the Whales, a boilover was looming.

A late effort from Brookie saw honours even at Allan Border Oval.

“We showed great character, we had key injuries pre-game and then three of our guys got hurt during the game, ” proud Mosman coach Josh Ayscough said.

“It left us with one replacement in the first half, it was looking dire.

“The mentality was great, we would have lost that game easily last year.

“I’m happy with a point, now we have to back it up against Dee Why this weekend.”

Elsewhere, CC Strikers beat the Swans 4-2 on Friday night, Pittwater RSL FC cruised to a 3-0 win over Wakehurst, St Augustine’s upset Seaforth 1-0 and Narrabeen won for the first time in 2018, beating Manly Vale 2-1.
