ON paper, Manly United should comfortably win next Wednesday night at Cromer Park.
When pressed on his thoughts ahead of the annual tussle versus the MWFA Select Squad, United captain Brendan Cholakian was honest in his assessment.
“You would think we will get the result,” he said.
“We have been training for a few months, they (Select Squad) haven’t.
“But once game day comes around, all logic goes out the window.
“Once we step out on to the pitch, anything can happen, it is 11v11.”
United, who will be backing up from Sunday’s trial against Sydney Olympic FC, are tipped to be close to full strength.
Kick-off is 7pm with entry free for all spectators.
