MWFA Lunctime League

Launching April 2026, the MWFA’s NEW lunchtime football league at Cromer Park!

Are you and your friends/co-workers looking for a fun, social and competitive sport to play during your lunch break? A way to reset for the second half of the day? The MWFA is running a lunchtime football competition for local businesses in the Northern Beaches area.

 

What is the MWFA Lunchtime League?

  • A 6 v 6 mixed football competition available to local businesses and groups in the northern beaches area. Ideally, those in Brookvale, Dee Why, Cromer and Collaroy are best suited to enter this comp as they are close to Cromer Park.
  • Smaller goals, smaller fields and fewer players – aimed for quick and fun football, just like Summer Soccer. Cromer Field 1 will be split into 5 separate playing fields.

How many players can I register in a team?

  • You can register a minimum of six (6) players. Six (6) aside, meaning five (5) players on the field & one (1) goalkeeper.
  • Players must be aged 18 or older.

When, where and what does it cost?

  • Round 1 starts Thursday 16 April 2026 (10 week competition).
  • Games KO promptly at 12:15pm EVERY THURSDAY.
  • Games are on Cromer Park 1 – 120 South Creek Rd, Cromer NSW 2099.
  • Cost is $120 per player. *FNSW charge a $28 insurance fee. If you already have a football registration within Play Football, you will not need to pay this fee. 
  • MWFRA referees will be supplied.
  • Players have access to changing rooms and showers.
  • Competition is played on an ALL weather pitch. Games will be cancelled due to lightning or extreme heat. Team managers will be notified of game cancellations in advance.

What do I wear?

  • All teams will be supplied with a jersey, colours will be randomly selected.
  • Shin pads must be worn.

 

When can I get back to work? 

  • Games consist of 18 minute halves, with a two (2) minute half time break. If you’re local to the Cromer area, you will need approximately one (1) hr.
