MANLY Allambie Premier League coach David Bonney is concerned a bank up of fixtures will wreak havoc on his squad over the coming weeks. Bonney's squad are set to play CC Strikers twice, Beacon Hill in a washed out fixture this Sunday at Beacon Hill Oval and neighbours Manly Vale in the league.
Then they will take on Brookvale in the MWFA Challenge Cup final. With relegation a real concern, he has challenged his players to dig deep. "We aren't used to being at the wrong end of the table, so I have urged the boys to respond accordingly,'' Bonney said. "We have some tough fixtures coming up, starting with CC Strikers this Saturday at Millers. "Thankfully I will have Owen Richards and Dan Clark back available, we need all hands on deck. "It looks like the weather will also play a part, which could have a severe impact on us. "Hopefully we come through the other side smiling." *In the other 3pm Premier League games this Saturday, Pittwater RSL FC welcome Mosman, Wakehurst host Beacon Hill, Forest Killarney take on Brookvale and Seaforth do battle with Manly Vale. |
