PITTWATER RSL FC remain the team to beat in the MWFA Premier League, following a methodical 2-1 win over Manly Vale at David Thomas. A double from skipper Stefano Teghini on Saturday in the round 16 fixture ensured Pitts maintained their status as competition leaders with three rounds remaining.
"It was one of our better games, I felt we controlled things well and were unlucky not to score a few more,'' Teghini said. "We were happy to walk away with the three points.'' In the other games, CC Strikers beat Seaforth 4-2, Brookvale triumphed 1-0 over Wakehurst and Forest Killarney and Mosman drew 3-3. Beacon Hill's clash with Manly Allambie was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. |
