WAKEHURST sent out an emphatic message to their rivals on Sunday afternoon after hammering Beacon Hill 4-2.

Heading into the tussle, Vince Vescio’s squad were unbeaten, but the Tigers were in a menacing mood at Melwood Oval.

Sara D’Urso, Kaitlin Manning, Gabi Miles and Anna Winston found the back of the net in a performance which delighted Wakehurst coach Donna Stuart.

“We had five first grade players out, so it was a huge effort,” she said.

“I thought we were gritty and determined across the 90 minutes.. hopefully we can now go on and string a few more wins together.”

Elsewhere, Manly Vale are the new ladder leaders following a 2-1 win over Forest Killarney, Manly Allambie outclassed Mosman 3-1 and Seaforth outlasted Brookvale 2-1.
