MWFA women's Premier League round 10 review

GOALS from Abbey Cosh and teenage young gun Mia Stevens landed Seaforth an impressive 2-0 win over Manly Vale on Sunday.

In the upset of the season so far, the injury ravaged hosts dug deep at Seaforth Oval and thoroughly deserved the three points.

Proud Seaforth coach Chris Wood paid tribute to his troops at the final whistle.

“It was a massive effort, we had 10 fit players – so we grabbed three girls from the 18s and another player after she finished her all age game,” he said.

“It will do wonders for our confidence, we have a tough run home, but we are targeting a spot in the top four.

“Results like this are huge, it proves to the girls we can beat anyone on our day.”

Elsehwhere, Beacon Hill beat Manly Allambie 2-1, Wakehurst did likewise versus Forest Killarney and the clash between Brookvale and Mosman finished 1-1.
