WPL-ManlyValevAllambie14April2019-4278

MANLY Allambie coach Kyle Cannon hailed the fighting spirit from his team after their 3-2 win over Seaforth on Sunday afternoon.

Ellen Wheatley finished with a brace, while Cassie Rodgers was also on target.

“It was a vital result for us, we stay in the top four and can look to keep building,” Cannon said.

“We showed a fair bit of character, coming from 2-1 down at halftime.

“The crowd was also fairly big, it had a semi-final feel to it.”

Elsewhere, Manly Vale went top after beating Wakehurst 1-0, Forest Killarney outclassed Brookvale 3-0 and Mosman versus Beacon Hill finished 1-1 with Madda Wilson finding the back of the net for the Whales.
