MWFA women's Premier League round 6 preview

MANLY Vale will look to maintain their eye-catching form this Sunday afternoon when they tackle Wakehurst at Melwood Oval.

Roland Winter and Tony Bruzzano’s squad are unbeaten in 2019, with a 1-1 draw against Seaforth in round three spoiling what would be a perfect season to date.

The girls from David Thomas Reserve are well aware the Tigers won’t die wondering.

“Wakehurst are a quality side, we saw that a couple of weeks ago in the State Cup,” Winter said.

“We managed to get the result that day (2-0), but they were hard to break down and very disciplined.

“It is another good test for our girls.”

Last Sunday, Manly Vale travelled out to the Macarthur region in Sydney’s south-west and beat Narellan Rangers 1-0 in the latest round of the State Cup.

Sam Spackman scored what proved to be the winner.

Hannah Bromley’s Forest Killarney were bundled out 2-0 by Epping FC and will look to bounce back locally at Graham Reserve versus Brookvale.

Elsewhere, Mosman host league leaders Beacon Hill and Seaforth entertain Manly Allambie.
