MWFA Premier League round 10 men's review

MITCH 1

THE relief was obvious around Kitchener on Saturday afternoon following Pittwater RSL FC’s resounding 3-0 win over CC Strikers.

Bill Benton, Mitch Macedo and Nick Maplestone were on target for the Greens in the second half, who moved up to ninth spot after their much needed victory.

“It goes without saying this season has been tough,” Pitts coach Adam Israel said.

“Our FFA Cup run was great, but our league form has obviously been disappointing.

“The boys are not used to losing, it has been foreign to them, but our ill discipline at times hasn’t helped.

“Ultimately we were hungrier than (CC) Strikers, and thankfully this time the right result followed.”

Elsewhere, ladder leaders Brookvale held off a determined Mosman 3-2, Seaforth outclassed Dee Why 4-0, Narrabeen thumped St Augustine’s by the same score and Curl Curl versus Wakehurst finished 0-0.

*No games were scheduled to be played in the women’s MWFA Premier League on Sunday.
