MWFA women's Premier League round four preview

SEAFORTH will look to build on their encouraging last start performance in the league when they host Beacon Hill this Sunday at Seaforth Oval.

Vince Vescio’s ladies are flying early on as current ladder leaders. They also impressed in a 4-0 win over Maroubra United in round one of the State Cup last weekend.

“We know they (Beacon Hill) are a good side, they have plenty of firepower across the pitch,” Seaforth boss Chris Wood said.

“I’m focused on what we can do – I felt we were unlucky in our last game, we were 1-0 up (against Manly Vale) but then missed a few chances before conceding a late equaliser which cost us two points.

“It showed we can compete against the top sides, which was pleasing.

“Having last weekend off (Seaforth had a first round bye in the State Cup) was handy, it gave all the girls the opportunity to recover from little knocks they may have picked up.”

Elsewhere this round, Wakehurst take on Mosman at Melwood Oval, Manly Allambie host Forest Killarney at Millers and Brookvale entertain Manly Vale at Graham Reserve.
