MWFA Premier League round 5 review

MPL-Narra V DY 4May2019-4751

GOALS from Sipan Berti, Josh Coleman and Andy Higginson landed Narrabeen a timely 3-2 win over Dee Why on Saturday afternoon.

Ross Talarico’s men were poor versus Curl Curl in round four, but they made amends on home soil against the Swans.

“We played quite well, to be honest we were a little unlucky not to score four or five goals,” gun striker Berti said.

“It was also pleasing to play better as a team, we were all unhappy with the Curl Curl performance.

“The boys were fired up, and even though Andy (Higginson) scored late, I thought we were the better side and deserved to win.”

Other games saw a ruthless Brookvale thrash St Augustine’s 6-1 to maintain their perfect record in 2019, Curl Curl stunned Pittwater RSL FC 2-1 at Kitchener, Wakehurst beat Mosman 4-3 on the road at Allan Border Oval and Seaforth impressed in a 4-0 triumph over an out of sorts CC Strikers.
