MWFA Premier League men's round six review

MPL-Brook vs Wake11May19-4985

BROOKVALE’S perfect league record in 2019 is over, following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Wakehurst at Graham Reserve.

The Tigers turned up to play, and took the lead in the 16th minute from Taylor Cahill.

Justin Hayward then equalised for the Blues on the half hour mark, with neither team able to find a winner leading into the final whistle.

“Wakehurst are a good side, they started well, while we took a while to hit our straps,” veteran Blues defender Adam Demasi said.

“You know what you are going to get with them, they run all day and never give up.

“Now we know what areas of our game we need to improve when we play them again.”

Other games saw Curl Curl thump CC Strikers 3-0, Mosman and Narrabeen played out an entertaining 3-3 draw, Dee Why and Pittwater RSL FC finished 1-1 and Seaforth consolidated their spot in the top four after outclassing St Augustine’s 4-0.
