A LATE goal from Tyson Masters saw Curl Curl mark their return to the MWFA Premier League with a 3-2 win over Wakehurst on Saturday night at Cromer Park.

In a high quality encounter, Masters found the back of the net before the break, only to see the Tigers take a 2-1 lead thanks to a quick-fire double from Andrew Green.

Alex Hatzi equalised for Curly from the penalty spot late on and then the new boys on the block stole three points when Masters forced the ball home from close range in the 88th minute.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game,” Curl Curl co-captain Sam Ryder said.

“It was also great fun playing under lights, and credit to our boys for not giving up and getting the win against the grand final winners from last season.”

In a round full of goals, Narrabeen beat St Augustine’s 5-3, Brookvale got the better of Mosman 4-3, Dee Why dusted Seaforth 2-1 and CC Strikers versus Pittwater RSL FC finished 0-0.
