PITTWATER RSL FC’s playing group celebrated long into the night on Saturday after winning the title on goal difference.

After beating CC Strikers 4-1 on Friday night at Cromer Park, the greens needed Manly Vale to do them a small favour.

That was not lose by 12 goals when they travelled to Graham Reserve.

The Blues won 8-0, but it proved to be in vain.

Jubilant Pitts coach Adam Israel paid tribute to his team.

“It is extremely satisfying,” he said.

“After losing two influential players in Charlie Fyfe and Dominic Reason, everyone told me we couldn’t win without them.

“Sam Walling was our top goal scorer with 8, it shows we shared the goals around and also conceded less than a goal a game.

“The desire to win and play for each other is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.”

Elsewhere, Wakehurst secured third spot after getting the better of St Augustine’s 2-1, Narrabeen shocked Dee Why 4-3 and Mosman thumped Seaforth 4-0.
