MWFA Premier League grand final preview

Nads 1

Sheldon Tweedie is ready to deliver.

And the stage doesn’t get much bigger for Wakehurst’s gun striker than Saturday’s MWFA Premier League men’s grand final at Cromer Park.

“Personally I’m really excited, moments like these are why we all play football,” he said.

“After beating Brookvale in the semi-final last weekend, everyone is pumped.

“CC Strikers are very similar to us, they have young players, but also some experienced guys, I think it will be a tight game.

“We know what is on the line, everyone just wants to rip in.”

One player who won’t be gracing the pitch is Luke Curnow, after the CC Strikers skipper broke his leg in the 4-2 semi-final triumph over Pittwater RSL FC.

“We wish Luke all the best and a speedy recovery,” Tweedie said.

Kick-off is scheduled for 5pm.
