AL/1s men's preview – Curl Curl v BTH Raiders

A13

HAVING won the title last weekend in emphatic fashion, Curl Curl will push to maintain their unbeaten league status in 2018 when they host BTH Raiders at Abbott Rd on Saturday afternoon.

With no games in the MWFA Premier League this weekend, all eyes will be on the top of the table AL/1s clash.

BTH have kept Anthony Seminara’s squad honest all year -the last time the teams met it finished 0-0 at Wyatt Ave.

“We won’t take our foot off the gas, we have a few more goals to achieve as a team,” Curl Curl captain Paul Nero said.

“I’m really happy with the character we have shown this season, we are a tight unit, good mates on and off the pitch.

“It is a big day for the club, we are hosting our Ladies Day, with all funds raised passed on to Bear Cottage.”

Nero nominated striker Tyson Masters as the x-factor.

“He has been an absolute weapon for us up front,” he said.

“I think he has scored 27 goals, hopefully he can finish with 30 before the end of the year.”

Elsewhere, Manly Allambie host Harbord Seasiders United, Mosman entertain Forest Killarney, Brookvale do battle with Avalon and Pittwater RSL FC take on Beacon Hill.
