AL/1s men’s grand final preview

CURL Curl are just one game away from an undefeated league season when they lock horns with BTH Raiders in Saturday’s grand final at Cromer Park.

After securing promotion to the MWFA Premier League a few weeks ago, the champagne has been flowing at Abbott Rd.

But coach Anthony Seminara has the playing group eyeing off a double in 2018.

“Winning the league is old news, we are focused on the new prize,” veteran skipper Paul Nero said.

“Belrose will be tough, we drew with them at their place and then beat them 1-0 at home, so you would think this weekend will be a similar story.

“Ultimately we have so many players who can change a game for us, Tyson Masters and Wes (Frith) up front and then our young guns at the back, Sam Ryder and Cooper McCarthy.

“Michael Kember has been amazing for us all year, I think he will be the difference.”

Kick-off is 2.30pm.
