RIVALS beware, Avalon are coming to get you.

That was the clear message from Careel Bay on Sunday afternoon when Larry Bates’ Reds shocked competition leaders Manly Allambie 1-0.

Midfielder Dani Pearce scored the winner, and Bates lauded the collective discipline from his team.

“It is amazing what happens when you have a full squad to call on,” he said.

“I was happy for the girls, they adapted well and followed the game plan.

“Keeping a clean sheet was also pleasing, Manly Allambie can score plenty of goals, we defended well in numbers.”

Avalon are now in sixth spot, just a victory outside the all important top four.

Elsewhere, Wakehurst grinded their way to a 2-0 win against Seaforth and Beacon Hill outgunned Forest Killarney 6-0.

Manly Vale and Brookvale had the weekend off with a bye.
