MWFA women's Premier League preview

THE opportunity to become the new league leaders is the dangling carrot for Manly Allambie this Sunday when they take on Seaforth.

Kyle Cannon’s ladies cruised to a 4-0 win midweek versus Forest Killarney and the coach doesn’t expect heavy legs to be an issue at Seaforth Oval.

“We have played on a Wednesday night and then backed up Sunday previously, I don’t think it will be a drama,” Cannon said.

“Plenty is on the line, and the girls understand the importance of conserving their energy.

“Seaforth move the ball around well, we just need to be disciplined and take our chances.”

Before their win on Wednesday night at Melwood Oval, Manly Allambie lost back to back games 1-0 against Avalon and Brookvale.

Elsewhere this weekend, in form Brookie take on Larry Bates’Reds and Forest Killarney play Wakehurst.

Manly Vale and Beacon Hill have the bye.
