MWFA Premier League round 16 preview

DY13

EVERGREEN Pittwater RSL FC defender Peter Stegic has labelled Saturday’s match of the round against Wakehurst ‘massive.’

The 36-year-old is likely to mark Tigers striker Sheldon Tweedie at Kitchener and knows it could be an uncomfortable 90 minutes.

“Like most of his teammates, he is young, fast and fit,” Stegic said.

“Wakehurst are the form team of the competition in the second half of the season, so we know what we are up against.

“You need to beat the best teams to finish first, so our boys will be ready, the title is on the line.”

Elsewhere, Dee Why take on CC Strikers (Friday night, Cromer Park, 7.30pm), Seaforth tackle St Augustine’s, Manly Vale host Narrabeen and Brookvale square off against Mosman.
