AVALON coach Larry Bates has no doubt his squad will be raring to go on Sunday when they take on Brookvale – despite playing midweek.

The Reds were beaten 3-2 by Wakehurst on Wednesday night, and know three points is a must this weekend at Graham Reserve.

“It (backing up) isn’t a concern, we have managed it all year,” Bates said.

“We juggled our State Cup games with the league, but we definitely need to go on a run to keep in touch with the top four.

“Like most teams, injuries have hurt us, but hopefully we will be close to full strength when we play Brookie.

“As always, we look forward to the challenge.”

Elsewhere on Sunday, Manly Allambie host new competition leaders Wakehurst and Seaforth do battle with Manly Vale.

Forest Killarney and Beacon Hill have the bye.
