MWFA Premier League preview

pitt v cc 7

CC Strikers coach Ryan Butcher has declared his squad will ‘leave the excuses at the front door’ ahead of Saturday’s home tussle with Wakehurst.

After a great start to their campaign, the men from St Matthews Farm have tapered off in recent weeks.

Butcher expects a response against the Tigers following last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Narrabeen.

“We have had some success against them this year, but it sounds like they have recruited a few guys, so we will need to keep an eye on them,” he said.

“Take nothing away from Narrabeen, they were great, but we need to be better across the park – the boys know that.

“We have plenty to play for, we need to dig deep to get a result.”

On Friday night, Brookvale take on struggling Dee Why at Cromer Park from 7.30pm.

After playing in the grand final last year, the Swans are languishing in ninth spot.

Saturdaysees Narrabeen host Seaforth, Manly Vale entertain St Augustine’s and Mosman take on Pittwater RSL FC in a top of the table encounter at Allan Border Oval.
