Alice Kirby was the standout, finishing with a goal and a assist in the 3-1 triumph versus pre-game favourites Beacon Hill.

Ash McEwan and Imogen Carlisle were also on target for the Lady Reds.

“I’m stoked for the girls, it is a great effort to win the grand final from fourth spot,” Avalon coach Larry Bates said.

“They are hungry to succeed, which is what you want.

“The future is very bright at the club, it was a pleasure to be a part of it the past few months.

“We have a few promising juniors in the under-16s, so the aim is to be even better next year.”
