DEE Why will play in the MWFA Premier League semi-finals for the first time since 2003 after beating CC Strikers 2-1 on Saturday.

Matt Cooper and Aaron Dunne scored the goals at St Matthews Farm, with other results seeing the Swans now sitting in second spot.

“We have finally learnt to grind out games,” Dee Why coach Stuart Nairn said.

“It was an awful pitch and CC Strikers were decent.

“Pre-game we knew we had to scrap, and I thought we did that well – in other parts of the game we were pretty comfortable.”

Elsewhere, Narrabeen ensured Manly Vale were relegated after a 3-0 win, Mosman smashed an out of sorts St Augustine’s 6-1, Brookvale upset Wakehurst 2-1 to keep their top four hopes alive and Pittwater RSL FC won 1-0 versus Seaforth.
