FIVE goals from Luke Curnow

FIVE goals from Luke Curnow saw CC Strikers thump Manly Vale 7-1 on Saturday at Cromer Park.

Curnow was everywhere, with Vale finding him impossible to handle.

The battlers from David Thomas Reserve look certain to be relegated, picking up just one point for so far in 2017.

Bob Catlin has also coached his final game in maroon and white, with he and club agreeing to amicably part ways today.

CC Strikers now find themselves in the top four, an outstanding effort following their off-season promotion.

“I’m really happy for the players, their hard work is paying off,” coach Ryan Butcher said.

“Luke (Curnow) was great, but I also liked how we scored a number of team goals.”

Elsewhere, Pittwater RSL FC ended Narrabeen’s title defence following a 2-0 win at Kitchener, Dee Why impressed in a 3-0 triumph versus Brookvale, Seaforth outclassed St Augustine’s 5-0 and Mosman stunned Wakehurst 2-1.
