Forest Killarney Women PL – ready for challenge

FKFC 310417d

FOREST Killarney welcome the challenge of Avalon this Sunday to Melwood Oval.

Those were the words this week from coach Glenn Wood, who is loving the weekly challenges in the women’s MWFA Premier League after forming a squad from scratch in the off-season.

“Our aim is always to be competitive and to have fun,” Wood said.

“I certainly didn’t expect to win every game, you have to be realistic, some very good teams with experienced players are in this competition.

“Avalon will be tough, they have started the year very well and recently won the Cup, beating us along the way.

“We have a few players back this week, we will go out there and do our best.”

Other games see Manly Vale host Wakehurst, Beacon Hill tackle Brookvale and Seaforth take on HSU.
