FOREST Killarney’s brilliant start in their return to the women’s MWFA Premier League has to he admired.

Glenn Wood has his playing group firing, and on Sunday they beat Seaforth 4-3 on the road.

After trailing 1-0 early at Seaforth Oval, Forest kicked into gear, with goals from Courtney Wood, captain Emily Wood and Jodi Todd.

Mitch Paterson’s girls pegged it back to 3-3, only to see Carla Rothwell win it for Forest with five minutes remaining.

“It was an entertaining game, both teams attacked at will,” Wood said.

“I would have been upset to walk away with only a point, I thought we shaded them (Seaforth).”

Other games saw Manly Vale dust HSU 3-1, Avalon stunned Brookvale 3-0 and Beacon Hill won 3-1 at Lionel Watts versus Wakehurst.
