Premier League | Round 13 Review

Nick Tomaino 664

ST AUGUSTINE’s are just two points from the top of the MWFA Premier League competition after beating Mosman 2-1 on Saturday.

They made life difficult for themselves when Peter Becklar was sent off after 25 minutes at Graham Reserve.

Trailing 1-0 at the break, Saints responded with goals from Josh Jacka-Easter and Brendan Ashcroft.

“It was a big performance, we had to dig deep,” St Augustine’s coach Nick Tomaino said.

“We aren’t getting carried away, we have a tough draw the next few weeks with Narrabeen, Pittwater RSL FC and Manly Vale.

“I will say we are enjoying being where we are on the ladder.”

Other games saw Pitts beat Manly Vale 2-0, Dee Why dusted Brookvale 4-2, Narrabeen salvaged a point late in a 1-1 draw with Manly Allambie and Seaforth versus Wakehurst finished 0-0.
