GOALS from Jess Wootton and new signing Ayse Adalis landed Beacon Hill an impressive 2-1 victory against Brookvale on Sunday.

In another high quality encounter between the two best teams in the competition, spectators were treated to a quality 90 minute arm wrestle.

“In the end, we wanted it a bit more,” Beacon Hill coach Vince Vescio said.

“The girls hadn’t forgotten the last time we played Brookie – (a 3-2 loss).

“It was spoken about pre-game, we wanted to get one back on them.”

Seaforth beat Manly Vale A 1-0 in the other game at Melwood.

Avalon had the bye and Wakehurst also had the weekend off with Manly Vale B playing in the State Cup.
